Difference between cause and effect

Although cause and effect are a series of actions which rationally follows from one action to another, there is a difference between their meanings. Cause happens first. It is anything that makes an event happen. Effect comes after cause. It refers to the outcome of the cause. Effect can not exist without any cause. In other words, cause can explain why the effect comes in the first place. Cause can be a person, object, event or situation that results in something, while effect is the result of the actions of the persons or it means the outcome of some chain events that have happened before.
