Difference between leasehold and freehold

Leasehold: Real property whereby the possession and use have been conveyed by the owner to an entity for consideration.

Freehold: The outright ownership of a real property without any restriction. This type of tenure contrasts with leasehold, where the leaseholder has the right to occupy a property for a specified period of time.
