Image and appearance have common in the sense that both can relate to physical appearance. However, from other points of view, their meaning is different. Image can appear as a noun or a verb. It also refers to the opinion about something held by the public. Moreover, it also means a mental picture. As a verb, it means to mirror or reflect on the on the one hand, on the other hand, it refers to making a visual representation. Appearance, in this form, is a noun only, and primarily it refers to the act of appearing, the visible aspect of a person or an object. In law, it refers to the formal attendance in a court of a party in an action.
